Milwaukee area home sales remain slow in 2025. But some areas are "RED HOT"!

Home Sellers Needed...
Metro average home prices were up 4.3% year over year in the first quarter of 2025, pushed up by pent-up buyer demand, according to data from the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors. Without a major influx of listings, the same trends — rising prices, flatlining sales — are likely to continue.

Despite the overall market slowdown, pent-up buyer demand continues to drive price growth in these hot communities. Some communities, however, are heating up fast, with prices rising sharply, homes selling faster and sales trending upwards. Here's a look at the five hottest communities in the Milwaukee area so far this year...

MUKWONAGO, WI

First on the list is Mukwonago, where the market has heated up significantly since last year.

More Mukwonago homes are selling in 2025, and they're selling must faster. Average home prices have shot up — rising by more than $121,000 year over year.

Total homes sold: 35, up from 19 in the first quarter of 2024.

Average sale price: $530,489, up 30% year over year.

Average number of days on market: 25, down from 43 the year prior.

Stop back tomorrow, we'll post new "HOT" cities over the next few days.

2025 12 NY Resolutions for your home - MAY: Organize your home records to stay on top of maintenance

MAY 2025:
Organize your home records to stay on top of maintenance

You’ve made it to May, and it’s time to check in on your New Year’s resolution to stay organized — starting with your home maintenance records.

Collect printed and digital home records, including instruction manuals, appliance warranties, home improvement records (like the receipts for that sunroom addition you just put in), and repair invoices. Then organize and save the documents in a physical or digital file.

By organizing these documents, you can review and reflect on the investments you’ve made to improve your home. You can better plan future repairs by taking note of maintenance that’s upcoming or overdue. Plus, when it’s time to sell, you can easily justify your asking price and present records of significant upgrades to the appraiser.

Realtor Tip: When it’s time to sell, you can easily justify your asking price and present records of significant upgrades and routine maintenance to the appraiser.
