The 2019 City of Milwaukee property assessment shows continued improvement in the residential and commercial real estate markets.

Total residential and commercial value combined for the 2019 valuation is $28.1 Billion, just 2% under the 2008
pre-Recession peak, and up 5% from 2018.

First-quarter home sales down, prices up across Milwaukee metro.

Through the first quarter of 2019, home sales are down more than 5% across the seven-county Milwaukee metro, according to the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors.

As of the end of March, a total of 3,498 homes were sold in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington and Ozaukee counties, the immediate four-county area, which is a decrease of 7.6% from the 3,787 sold for the year-ago quarter.
